As an art therapist & counselor, I currently work in private practice with mainly queer, trans, & neurodivergent adults. Many have trauma or problems with emotional regulation. Sessions with clients tend to focus on building self-trust, being self-compassionate & validating, creating healthier inner self talk, unmasking, dissecting how cultural, familial, & social factors have impacted self-concepts, creating amore harmonious internal family system, & learning how to self-soothe.

This has inspired me on a path towards research, where I hope to be able to contribute to the healing of these communities. I've seen art therapy help folks conceptualize their inner worlds more deeply, & find it fascinating to be able to contribute to that experience through witnessing, honoring, & encouraging exploration through the artwork.

In my world outside being a therapist, I spend my time making art (drawing, painting, & collage mostly, but I've enjoyed almost any type of art I've attempted), going to musicals with my spouse, singing songs at my sassy tuxedo cat named Mellow, watching the same cartoons on repeat, reading articles & fantasy novels, & learning about tarot.
